Oh, gorgeous! <3

ETA: The rhythm of the clip at 0:45 fills me with delight, in particular.

This is a thing of beauty. Joy! It kind of fits the season, too. Lovely :)

Thank you! :) The song was actually billed as a holiday song by the band, although I suppose the only real reference is the "rooftops strung with light." But it definitely has a holiday feel to me.

Awesome :)

Did you export through MPEG Streamclip for this one? I'm in awe of the quality of your vid, considering the source :)

I did! Thanks for the advice. It looks much better than iMovie's export did.

Hehe, yeah, 75-year-old source can be a little grainy and jittery, although the prints used for the "ultimate collector's edition" discs that I have are quite good, considering.

Oh my goodness, this was gorgeous and it gave me chills. I also was a little teary-eyed at the end and let out a spontaneous "awww." Beautiful!

Thank you! The ending of the song made me pretty teary the first few times I heard it, so I'm very pleased that the vid got the same kind of reaction from you at the end. :)

They were grace personified, even if Rita Hayworth WAS his favorite partner.

Beautiful! I'd been listening to this song a lot the last couple days and thinking that it would make a lovely vid and here--vid! :)

Hehehe! Yeah, I started vidding this, um, the same afternoon I bought the track. I think I'd only listened to it a couple times before this vid bunny came up and demanded to be made. I just love how much this song--and Hem's music in general--evokes the standards of the early twentieth century, and pairing it with this source seemed so perfect. I'm glad you liked the vid! :)
